Having seen something of the criticisms of charismatic worship made at the Strange Fire Conference, I watched some of Grace Community Church (of which John MacArthur is one of the pastors) Sunday morning service at the end of the conference and was struck by the fact that they sang In Christ Alone, a hymn full of good theology all about Jesus and the cross, a hymn that has blessed thousands around the world, and lifted hearts in worship.
The fact is this hymn comes straight out of the charismatic stable, and they say the charismatic movement has not produced anything good as far as worship and theology is concerned!
